About

“A customer is the most important visitor on our premises, he is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him. He is not an interruption in our work. He is the purpose of it. He is not /n outsider in our business. He is part of it. We are not doing him a favor by serving him. He is doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do so.”

Ricardo

Barber. Joining The Beard Room by way of New York, Ricardo is a veteran barber of 15 years. It’s often said that necessity is the mother of invention, and it is exactly what lead Ricardo into the barbering field. With three boys less than four years apart his parents were more concerned with being eaten out of house and home then they were about getting them into the barbershop every couple of weeks. So Ricardo, becoming the ladies man that most every 14 year old wants to be, decided to start cutting his own hair. Noticing his talent of cutting getting better, of course led to cutting his brothers and other family members. Then it spread to friends and that’s where it STOPPED! At least in his mother’s kitchen. So realizing he really had a passion for barbering he started an apprenticeship at 17 and has just kept going from there. Known for his clean lines and smooth fades Ricardo is well versed in all hair types and textures. His razor work is on point and of course his beard care is above the standard! Ricardo also has a passion for music. With his Puerto Rican heritage don’t be surprised if you see him dancing the Bachata behind the chair!!
